How Does timepasts.com Work?

Timepasts claims to sell top quality products at very affordable rates on their online store, but should you trust them? In the course of our research, we noticed that the affordability of their products serves as bait to attract unsuspecting buyers. This is common among scam online stores.

Timepasts.com uses a very neat and well-designed website layout, giving it a convincing feel. But this should not deceive you into believing Timepasts.com is legit because most of these scam online stores go the extra mile to appear trustworthy.

Timepasts accepts payments made through Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and PayPal.

What We Found About timepasts.com!

Following the coronavirus outbreak, people have, due to the lockdown in cities, resorted to online stores for most things they need to buy. Fraudsters have taken to this opportunity to open up fraudulent websites where they steal money from unsuspecting buyers. We have taken the responsibility to carry out reviews on sites like Timepasts and expose their fraudulent schemes.

From reports found on the internet, no positive reviews have been made on timepasts.com. Usually, authentic positive reviews are a sign that an online store is reliable. Timepasts.com, after passing through a series of tests, shows it is less than six months old and, therefore, should not be trusted.

Their website uses https security – this means that information like passwords and credit card numbers, when sent to their site, is kept private. But this is not an assurance that the people behind the platform won’t tamper with your details.

The other things which we found out about Timepasts which made us believe timepasts.com is a fake online store are:

Reachability

  • They have no social media presence. Trustworthy stores use social media as a means to advertise their wares and also connect to their customers. They even listen to and resolve customers’ complaints through their social media handles.
  • The contact information provided on their website is not reliable: they have no phone number and no return address.
  • Due to the anonymity of the owners of the store, there is zero accountability, and no one to charge should you be scammed. The absence of a real face to account for the operations of the store is a big red flag.

Reviews

  • The products sampled on timepasts.com are without customer reviews which is a bad sign. Reliable online stores like Amazon usually carry customer reviews, both positive and negative, on the products sampled on their store.
  • When we scanned their site on ScamDoc (a website analysis platform), it returned a very bad trust score of 1%. This means that their site can’t be trusted because no identifying information of the owner is tied to the domain name. And since their creation date is very recent, there is no past timeline through which we can measure their authenticity.

Content

  • The contents used on their webpages were copied from other sources, as we have, times without number, encountered the use of same contents in other fraudulent online stores.

Tracker

  • There is no reliable tracking system available on their website to monitor the progress of the ordered products.

Verdict!

Timepasts.com, like Amkerosene, is an untrustworthy online store, and, therefore, not recommended for use. If you shop from them, you stand the risk of losing your money but getting no product in return. Protect yourself from swindlers.

There are many untrustworthy online stores on the internet promising to sell top-notch products but at heavily discounted rates.

It is common to come across these e-commerce stores offering good looking products at appetizing prices. But, in the end, such stores usually turn out to be fraudulent.

Most people attracted by these “too good to be true” prices from these online stores have bought goods of their liking but received something different from what they had ordered, and of poor quality.

Worse, some have placed orders with full payment yet received nothing but silence from the online vendors. You do not have to become one of them to learn from their experience.

It is unfair to fall victim to these fraudsters and lose the money you earned from honest work. Fact-checking should be a priority before you buy anything from an online vendor.

If you’ve shopped from this store, or attempted to do so, kindly share your experience with us in the comment section.

  1. I did not know any of this and ordered 3, what looked to be glass Santa ornaments with a surgical masks, really cute and meant as a memory of a historic time for my grand kids to keep. What I got were bendable stamped plastic pieces of garbage on string. I found a contact email of [email protected]—trying to get thru to them on that to get a refund. DID it via PayPal so may need to go there next. Sure wish I had seen this sooner!

    1. I did as well! Ugh, its been back and fourth emails with this person and they are just beating around the bush. Providing 20% or 30% refund and I am stating I want to return the whole thing. Definitely wasting my time, please let me know what you end up doing. I also paid through PayPal. Would you just file a claim?

    2. Same experience. They pulled a bait and switch on me as well. Same email with offer for fractional refund after asking for identifying information like product SKU that’s not on their website. Will take it up with PayPal/CC company

    3. Same here!! Charged me immediately emails back-and-forth taking forever to come and received plastic garbage!! Luckily I use my AMEX for PayPal so I contacted them about it as they’re always very accommodating in these situations. I sent them pictures and what not as well not like they can do anything about stopping it, but I’m also going to contact PayPal. I wish we could post / make this info available to somehow help other people before they get swindled like we all did.

      1. I’m having the same experience although my product never arrived; it’s been over 6 weeks and nothing has been accomplished. I also use PayPal and have contacted them and they are working on a resolution to the situation.

  2. I to order two Santa faces with masks and have not received anything but was charged. After reading this I’m sure I fell victim of the scam

  3. Please do NOT buy from this store! What you see is NOT what you get. I wish I could show what I thought I bought and what was sent. It’s comical. They sent absolutely rubber garbage. I bought 10 Santa ornaments as keepsakes for my family. I’d be mortified to give them out. Try and get your money back. That’s pretty funny too. Visa here I come to dispute the charges on complete fraud they’re doing. Buyer beware.

  4. I too ordered the ornaments. Total bait and switch. Filed a claim with PAYPAL resolution center to get a refund and to ask PAYPAL not to allow them to use PAYPAL as a payment source. They offered a $ 10.00 refund on a $27.59 purchase…or I could return it and pay $20.00. That is my lesson for today. Do not do business with companies in China. KK

  5. I ordered 2 ornaments on Nov 3. As of today, Dec 4, I have received no ornaments. I emailed Timepasts 3 times and got a reply, but again no ornaments. I filed a dispute with my credit card company. I also will file a complaint with the BBB and a complaint of mail fraud with the USPS. Scam companies should not get away with fleecing customers.

  6. Ordered 3 Covid 2020 Santa Tree Ornaments from them. The ones you have been seeing all over the internet. What I finally got was three tiny little pieces of poorly printed plastic that would make good gift tags. All for $40.86. (I wish I could post photos of what I got here). I’ve emailed them three times now and NO RESPONSE! Even sent them photos of what I received. They say a full refund “no questions asked.” That’s BS. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!!! Just Don’t!!!!

  7. I am also victim. I read your comments and have the same story. I ordered the covid Santa. It does not even resemble the pictures or description on the website. Customer service will only offer 10% then 20% discount back. They advise that return shipping costs to me will exceed the product refund. I have filed a complaint here:
    econsumer.gov

    Please do the same!

  8. Just received an order from Timepasts.com- 3 months after I ordered. The product was nothing like what was pictured- I received flimsy, plastic ugly ornaments.
It’s my own fault for getting sucked in by the pretty advertisement on Instagram.
Lesson learned, will never order from this site again .

  9. Same experience happened to me and I was scammed for the glass ornaments. I have filed a complaint with the BBB, my credit card company and Pay Pal. Everyone has been wonderful and feeling positive they will be able to help me recover my $98.
I am currently playing the games with them in reference to obtaining an address to return the rubber ornaments. Offering a discount, apologizing for the vendor, etc. Getting no where’s but not giving up. Anyone reading this – do not give up!!!! Contact BBB, your credit card company and Pay Pal. We all work to hard for our money and this is not ok!!!!

  10. Ordered 7 masked Santa ornaments on10/5/20 and was supposed to get 3 free for a total of 10. Received a padded envelope on 11/5/20 with 7 crap plastic ornaments. Immediately emailed the company and over the course of 17 back and forth emails was offered up to a 45% discount to keep them. In every email I asked for the address to return them, which they would never provide. Finally got fed up with the runaround and started a dispute with my credit card company on 11/20/20 and just got a full refund to my credit card, including shipping insurance (and I apparently get to keep the crap ornaments – for free they’re great, for $7.99 not so much). DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY but if you get sucked in by them, don’t settle until you get a full refund from your credit card company. Lesson learned – won’t ever buy from a company in a Facebook ad before doing my research!

  11. I ordered 15 Santa ornaments and received 15 rubber cut out. Complete junk!! I also experienced the same “games” with this company, but I did not give up and I received a full refund from PayPal. They were wonderful. While I was ? “working” with Timespast on the full refund, they “magically” changed their legal company address from China to London and another / new e-mail address to contact them. I saw 4 different e-mail addresses over the past 3 weeks. Don’t give up!!!! Contact your credit card company and PayPal. They are using PayPal on their website and hoping PayPal will go after them. I also filed a complaint with e-commerce and BBB. All we can do is promote our situations and what happened so others are not scammed and this company closes down for good. I am very sorry to everyone that was scammed. I get it. It’s frustrating and you feel taken advantage of. All I can say is I fought back and would not accept a partial refund and I won!!!
