How It Works
The 8064191755 text informs the reader that their VISA card was temporarily locked, and to unlock the card, the recipient has to call the number. Their aim is to pretend they want to help you unlock the card and would therefore need your card details. Doing this, however, will be giving up your credit card information to these thieves.
What To Do
When you receive such messages and want to be sure it is not scam, do the following:
- send your credit card company an email to confirm the authenticity of the text
- if the company says the message is not from them, delete the message immediately
